Thor had to get nerfed somehow, they picked this way to do it, it was bad. Just like hulk getting everything off screen, the paradox riddled time travel plotline that contradicted itself more than a few times, the totally dead but not really dead if they thought at all about it allies.... Endgame was a necessary movie for the goals of the group of character arcs, but let's face it, it was loose at best from a plot perspective. Which is fine, it's a comic book popcorn flick.
