Weed doesnt make the regular person get into hardcore drugs. But it will probably be a starting point for messed up people to get progressively worse.

Weed is.......actually being a gateway drug big time for high school/college aged kids right now. I have relatives that it has affected (one is in rehab right now in fact). I have also had roomates that started with weed but did Kratom next then um....whippits, then mushrooms etc.

Any drug you use (or even to some extent alchohol) is a gateway drug. If you get high/drunk etc, you end up partying with other people, which makes it likely you'll party with someone doing some other stuff while your not right in the head, then you do it, etc.

Weed isn't any worse then alcohol, but in places where it's legal, it's CRAZY available. There are more weed stores in WA then coffee shops at this point. You hit 2-3 weed stores between a High School and the first place for students to eat lol.

Not saying it should be illegal mind you, all drugs should be legal and taxed, but.......it having weed be legal is certainly causing many people to try other drugs which they never would have tried if weed was not legal.
