Guns are illegal in Jamaica, but there are other factors that contribute to it being a fertile ground for gun violence (drugs, corruption, etc.) The issue is more nuanced than guns vs no guns in the US. It's also more a cultural issue more than anything. From my experience, people I've met in EU feel a lot safer with there not being guns everywhere in comparison to USA. Not only that, but any impactful change in the law, has to be done on a federal level as it's not like states can secure their borders like countries. --- (CATS DON'T DANCE TO MY BEATS) ...
