Strangely enough the big casting director for Survivor, Lynne Spillman, wasn't brought on to cast S39 - she was let go after S38. Not sure what that means but it's interesting to note! I too am thinking that S40 is to be the final season. I have a feeling a lot of people are in that boat and ratings will plummet unless S41 is actually something good. They fired Spillman before they cast for this season, so Dan can't be the reason they fired her. The rumor I heard is that she staked her job on someone in EoE, probably Wardog, and got fired when they didn't pan out.
