Naye745 11/15/19 1:21:37 PM #265:	after having time to listen to rob's KIA podcast, read reactions on twitter, and discuss the issue on forums, i've come to a couple conclusions different than my initial reaction: - production should've removed dan from the game. kellee clearly being bothered enough to elicit producer reaction (the talk that everyone received and the warning to dan), along with the documented evidence on camera of his inappropriate actions and kellee specifically asking him to stop earlier in the game, is enough in my view to justify his removal from the game. and ultimately, because the producers didn't do it, the action fell on the hands of the players affected (kellee herself and janet) to step in and deal with it themselves. because janet felt compelled to take action herself, she screwed up her own game and got gaslit by the other alliance's players in the process. the producers were in an extraordinarily difficult position here, because they knew the extent with which the incident got conflated and intertwined with survivor the game, but they should have made that call, and the extent to which it continued to be a problem in the 2nd hour of last episode (and may continue to in future ones) is on them. - survivor needs to hire on-site people to deal with these sensitive issues, specifically from diverse backgrounds. i heard this one passed along from kass (and maybe others), but this seems imperative given what we've seen this week. the largely male staff was not properly prepared for how to address and handle dan's behavior, despite what i believe were genuine efforts from both jeff probst and them to not skirt around the issue. this seems the only way to move forward from this on their side imho. all i can hope for from a survivor fan perspective is that dan gets dumped soon and we can move along with the game, because this is going to dominate the season until he's gone, even if it's not the focus of the episode like it was this week. it's a shame because up until now we were doing surprisingly well and i had mostly forgotten about s40 looming. now it's like ugh please let's just get this over with --- it's an underwater adventure ride <cite>Naye745 posted [p:930179509] in Survivor: ...
