Why do people become hoarders when they get old? It's not that they become hoarders, it's that many of the pieces have memories associated with them, so you don't want to just throw them out, and before you know it, you have a crap ton of stuff your carting around if you move. Especially women, my wife had a huge amount of China from her mother, we were married 20 years and moved something like 10 times, never once used the china, it was super heavy, but she didn't want to get rid of it. Tons of stuff like that.
