Topic	EGM says some Gamefaqs DYING BOARDS are a REFUGE for some CREEPY LONELY PEOPLE!
mrduckbear 11/11/19 10:37:28 PM #1:	Do you agree with what she said? - Results (5 votes) Yes 40% (2 votes) 2 No 60% (3 votes) 3 Elizabeth Henges, an EGM Games Journalist has highlighted the SECRET SIDE of Gamefaqs where she details the sites DYING BOARDS where users have tried to find refuge in to create off topic posts and create a community in it as she names one board in example on the "Mad Stalker" gaming board that she found "creepy" considering it's title, where gamers would create posts on DATING ADVICE as users would go back and forth on their failed relationships She also detailed how there's thousands of unused message boards that go unused and have now been revived for secret users to build their community on, much like reddit and said those topics have gone untouched because moderators and admins aren't alerted and generally don't know about it as they talk about whatever they want without the risk of a ban Mad Stalker was singled out as one in particular as the game has no bearing to anything romantic but threads were popping up from people who talked about PHONE SEX and other girl issues and when users failed to get a love/dating relationship/advice board because Gamefaqs does not host that type of stuff, these users decided to take matters in their own hands by forming a secret community board elsewhere on the site and used games that have romantic like names to find refuge in.. Although a lot of the content is just hopeless romantics and users who just looking for advice, some of the lines were troubling as users were posting fierce debate such as one with a woman arguing with a male dominant userbase on the validity of pick up lines and pick artist culture that is now regarded as toxic Although the board is now dead, she predicts other users will eventually go to secret boards to build up another community on off topic posts and even says some users would go on the reddit gamefaqs forum to cry about their suspension/bans and until Gamefaqs "eventually" shutters, the site will continue to host strange internet behaviour of its users.
