Made it to Day 2 of Field Exercises, still running around doing quests. I think this day had the first "sneaky" "hidden" quest with
the guy on the coastal road. Hidden quests may still be marked on the map but I don't think there's any hint to push you over onto that road other than my long established Kiseki paranoia from FCDay 1 Night: Wow this got really compelling, really fast.
Yo Rutger doesn't mess around at children's card games. I had been sleepwalking my way to wins in every other Vantage Masters match in the game but damn this was intense. I admittedly got a terrible starting hand and was only narrowly bailed out by having my first draw be my salvation by being basically the one monster that could see me through this but even still yikes he was way beyond any other opponent in the game. I easily could have lost had the match went on one additional turn (though I knew the math of things and would have played a bit differently if I knew I wouldn't win there but still.) Guy has me interested it making a blitz deck with a bunch of the White cards once I have them all because that was nuts how it played against me.
The Sara and Claire backstories were really good too. We broadly knew the Sara story but the details were nice to have. Claire's backstory was super interesting as well and explains quite a bit.---
