Friend of mine had a wife who hated her right leg, especially below the knee. She was stressed out all the time over it, even making her physically ill. Eventually convinced a doctor to amputate her perfectly healthy leg from the knee down. She became a very happy person for years after the surgery instead of depressed and suicidal, until she died from cancer

I don't get it and never will.
