I don't know if "play overseas" is really a relevant alternative to most of the bullshit violations that the NCAA dishes out. Should Chase Young have played American football overseas if he wanted a family friend to help get his girlfriend to a bowl game? If a volleyball player wants to wash her car? If a player wants to upload YouTube videos or get his car out of impound?

I'm not talking about the petty football violations (Young should not have been suspended at all. He paid the friend back). Wiseman taking $11,500 to help buy a house is not a tiny amount of money and will always be a penalty to the NCAA. As soon as he did that, he should have realized he was boned. He's not a football or volleyball player where this is legit the only place he could showcase his talent. He could be getting paid millions overseas right now and STILL be the #1 overall pick in the next draft.
