With the release of the iphone in 2007, and the proliferation of smart phones since, most traffic online comes from phones, which means sites that capitalized on phone users became the heavy hitters. The internet is becoming smaller as people visit less websites then what they did 10-20 years ago. So we're sadder because we're older, and all of the young people with their mobile phones would rather go on Snapchat?
