It probably wasn't selling as well as it had in past Holiday seasons so they decided to artificially increase the demand by pretending they weren't going to do it this year. Once everyone gets all grumpy and whiny they'll act like they decided to give their customers what they wanted and that shit will sell better than it has in last few years. They probably have the "You demanded it so we brought it back" commercials already made and ready to run. --- "Genetics is fascinating.
