Not sure what any of this has to do with the black community (feel free to explain it) but those things are all more or less true whether or not its helpful to say them. She got recruited to run against Capuano by donors who knew her from her time as an advisor to John Kerry. They wanted her to run because she has a more mainstream foreign policy view. She flipped from being a self-proclaimed centrist in 2016 to saying there was no daylight between her and one of the most progressive congress members in 2018.

It doesn't make her an awful person or anything, that's just politics.
