Not really a "how," considering that up until the primaries are over he can still be in the race. It's the "why" that's more debatable. Tulsi Gabbard never had any actual chance because boomers don't know who she is + the constant media smearing. And someone like Buttigieg will never go anywhere because the instant boomers or conservatives hear that he's gay they turn off. His remark wasn't about Gabbard's chances, but instead that Gabbard tanked Harris's chances. And, honestly, Kamala Harris was a weak candidate which is why it was so easy to chop at her legs the same way she tried to score points on Biden. And while Gabbard had a good debate performance, it's really too little, too late.
