Because it's got a neat fantasy adventure feel early on, but by the end it starts to get boring and lame like much of DBZ. Honestly Dragon Ball is actually pretty fun most the time. Season 1 and 2 are really good and season 3 slows down but isnt terrible. Season 4 (a.k.a. General Blue saga) is garbage. Its annoyingly slow and it feels like the whole season is a filler and the main villain has so many deus ex Machina moments that its frustrating. I wouldnt blame anyone for skipping this season. Season 5 with Mercenary Tao is really good again, thats when it starts to return to its martial arts aspect of the show.
