Topic	Why did Punk rock die?

I think it has alot to do with older punks gatekeeping the culture and newer punks being discounted as "not being punk enough" and eventually being turned off and turning to emo/metal/hip hop rather than being associated with a bunch of drunks and junkies holding the culture to themselves.
