It sounds like CK3 is aiming at making characters the center of your experience. As some one who bought CK2 at launch, I can say that that's something that CK2 wasn't well-equipped to do: they kind of had that insight after-the-fact and built it in. It feels like the right direction to go in and they can build the game around that from the get-go. I can't really afford to be buying games at launch anymore, but I think it's a certainity that CK3 will, sooner or later, leave its predecessor in the dust. As far as what else came out of PDXcon: they announced a Lithoids species pack and a Federations expansion for Stellaris. Apparently, lithoids will actually play differently from organics. And diplomacy is definitely the weakest aspect of Stellaris currently, so it's nice to see them finally overhauling it. Apparently, the Lithoids are dropping this Thursday alongside a patch. ...
