Topic	I don't know why people hated The Last Jedi so much

In the OT, Luke was a character who risked life and limb to rescue his friends against the advice of Yoda himself. In RotJ, he risked his own life to redeem Vader, despite Vader's history of unspeakably evil acts and atrocities. Yet and still I'm supposed to believe that he would try to kill Ben over a mere vision, and hide away on a rock somewhere while the First Order was hunting down and killing innocents? That's not Luke Skywalker. What really makes the whole thing even worse is that Luke was killed off prematurely before the audience got to really see him fight. Anyhow, I went on long enough back there.
