I'm just preparing myself for the inevitable "you're alt right/conservative" arguments I hear from other liberal people anytime a mildly dissenting opinion is expressed. My stance is that climate change is absolutely an important issue, but we need much better advocates who can offer better solutions. Do you feel a 16 year old girl saying "how dare you, I shouldn't be here" has been the most beneficial thing we could have ever hoped for in a climate change advocate? Do you think her words will have a lasting inpact or will her 15 minutes soon be over? Is the UN even the best group to speak in front of? What can actually realistically be done? Stop treating politics like a sports game.
