So I finished Ciconia episode 1 last night. tldr version while I enjoyed it overall I don't necessarily think it made a good introduction when compared to Higurashi or Umineko episode 1. It also might not appeal to Higurashi or Umineko fans, since it's completely different. There isn't any mystery or whodunnit element to Ciconia and instead it's literally Ryukisi trying to write Evangelion. It definitely made a better (or at least more entertaining) introduction than Umineko Ep 1 specifically imo. There are also definitely mystery elements (even if it's not a traditional mystery), though at this point it's super unclear which ones are intended for the readers to work out and solve and which ones are setting the scene for future episodes <cite>Reg posted [p:928788987] in Anime and ...
