Manufacturing should never be carried out in developed countries. You take away manufacturing from developing countries and bring it back to a developed country, 1) you're hurting your own economy because sure while you may create more jobs, wages won't increase enough to pay for it and 2) you're crippling the developing country (although most people probably wouldn't care because hey f*** that country that's not mine, right)?

If the product won't sell for the price it's on, then that's on the manufacturer to figure out how make a profitable product. It won't be the end of the world if Apple isn't worth damn near a trillion dollars.

And developing countries are not our friends. Allies for mutually beneficial collaborations, sure. But your first allegiance should be towards your country and supporting your people first. It makes no sense to me that the US is busy subsidizing imports from China where their exporting costs are mere cents while the US exporting to them costs $40 or so. China is taking advantage of us and they know it.
