I support Hong Kong freedom but even if every citizen suddenly got miniguns from the U.S. they just don't have the people and China can cut off supplies to the city to starve them out. To top it off they'd immediately turn around and claim that the U.S. started the riots and was guilty of subverting the peace and everything and put the full blame for the entire riot on the U.S. About the only reason that the protests are having any degree of success is because they're not violent meaning that the CCP is responding with tear gas and the like instead of tanks.
