Ok, so the first week was sort of a warm up with a big focus on the SNES and Genesis. This week the plan at the very least is to mostly focus on the the PS1 and PS2, hopefully with a ton of horror games! Again i wanna stress though that that's the plan, but plans might change. I change my mind a LOT! I do however hope I can resist the desire to go the easy way out and fill up on SNES junk food, because as much as I love it, I don't give the PS1 and PS2 nearly enough of the attention that they desperately deserve! To me this they were the true classic horror eras!

Clock Tower 3

Average Time Completed: around 7 hours

My Time: Around 7 hours

Been wanting to play this again for years!

First of all, this needs to be said. This game's got really good voice campy voice acting. Campy in the way where your still drawn in and it's scary regardless it that is. The game really nails it with the atmosphere too, both with the music and sound effects, as well as the . You can really tell that this is from the same company that made the Silent Hill series.

Ah Silent Hill, I remember when you were great. Silent Hill 2, you're one of the best things ever made in all of fiction!

Anyways, in this you play a 15 year old British girl who has been summoned to an old mansion by her mother after she sent her to hide from something. She arrives looking for her mother, when an old man appears and tells her that her mother is dead and shes all alone now.

She ends up going through time or something, it's not really made clear, and she has to run away from and eventually face and kill several psychopaths from the past.

The first psychopath is an monsterous old man with a very Raspy voice.

"I killed her...Aylssa!"

BTW, man that clock ticking sound when you're saving your game! Totally gives me the chills!

"Alyssa! Alyssa, where are you?" so chilling!

Anyways, I like the way that this game works. Enemies don't kill you by draining your life force. Instead they kill you by scaring your into a heart attack. It's such a cool idea and it's pulled off so well in this game that makes the game really intense!

First boss battle! Your bottle which you use to throw Holy Water to stun your psychpath asssailants becomes a Holy bow with holy arrows. These are the best parts of the game, as it's the payoff of the the entire experience. I killed the first boss, and the little gilr that's a piano player that the psychopath killed and gave her her fathers pendant, and told her her father was killed in the war, but she should play in his memory or something. her father came back, them both given peace, as they thank Alyssa. How heartwarming!

After this Alyssa's love interest, Dennis(who looks a lot like Ron from Harry Potter) shows up and gives you a key to your gramps room. You find a book that says that sometimes psychopaths after they die become undead, called Entities and continue to kill, taking their souls to gather powers, and for centuries, teenage girls have been called to fight them, called Rooders. Kinda like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I like it!

Eventually you find yourself back in the past, and a blind man crying bloody tears finds you, just as scared of you as you are of him, searching for his mother. Then you find his mother and the whole house has a massive earthquakes, it's all caused by a mysterious ghost psychopath that's chasing you. who apparantly killed its villains with Acid. Weird, it didn't seem to attack you with acid, it mostly just tried to grab at you.

I'll post more later.
