So my wife has recently started getting into anime, after never watching it growing up. I figure some anime fans on Board 8 might find her choices/opinions interesting.

She technically started last summer when there was nothing to watch so she decided to try my One Piece DVDs. She really liked it and got to Fishman Island before fall shows started. This summer she continued watching and truly fell in love with it. She finished the series, started rewatching immediately and is now at Impel Down, started reading the manga and is also at Impel Down there. She even started reading fanfic and the subreddit both of which she doesn't do for anything else. Its crazy.

For her birthday in August I got her a Zoro cosplay hoodie that she loves and she is planning to get a One Piece tattoo this month.

Her favorite characters: Zoro >> Chopper > Franky > Robin > Law > Corazon > Usopp > Smoker > Katakuri > Sanji > Brooke > Luffy > Nami. The normal shonen trope about the main character being an idiot really annoys her for Luffy, but she still likes all the main characters. Not sure where Jimbe ranks.
