Free enterprise creates more than enough homes to live in, you are correct. And at a way higher quality, of course. I'm not sure what capitalism has to do with city councils keeping the housing supply artificially low, or a disproportionately high number of empty homes in the US being in cities that have experienced population decline.

I'm definitely willing to credit the profit motive, introduced by capitalism, for not doing anything substantial to regulate carbon emissions even though we understand the implications of not doing anything.

So again, using bad public policy as an argument for a discredited 19th-century economic system. Weird how socialist states didn't have the "problem" of profit but still had no regard for the environment. Really makes u think.
