I just get a kick out of people being like "this movie is a trainwreck" going off of a 90 second teaser trailer lol I just get a kick out of people who use reductionist reasoning to dismiss people with different opinions and expectations than themselves. I could be wrong, but bringing back Palpatine (unless its a misdirect. And tbf, knowing Abrams, it could be) is a massive red flag. It doesnt matter if the trailer was five seconds or fifteen minutes. Added to that, the trilogy as a whole has been horribly mismanaged from the get-go. Theres no reason to expect that itll turn thing around except by relying on OT nostalgia, which is one of the most common ciriticisms of TFA by even only mildly critical fans. So please stop pretending to be on some enlightened level of centrist moderation because you dont personally think its going to be bad.
