The whole idea is they want to make sure you actually care about the job and did some research into the company before the interview. That is actually a great question that can tell if someone is going to actually put the effort in to succeed or just do the bare minimum to get a paycheck. Archgoat posted... Honestly you could have probably had a discrimination suit on your hands if you wanted to pursue it, since that is basically age discrimination. I mean I have turned down candidates because they had more experience for a job then we wanted (Like, someone worked in the industry for 20 years and is applying for an entry level job), but someone interviewing you shouldn't use your age as a reason to not hire you. --- I am a senior software engineer.
