Immediately it brought to mind Layzner's TV ending...only Layzner had the excuse of being cancelled at the eleventh hour and redeemed by the excellent OVA conclusion. If even one element had changed (a satisfactory fight scene, characters surviving or the two mains coming together), it would have been a perfect show. As things stand, I'm disappointed by the ending but I did enjoy most of the program.
