Haha, his flying moves were usually the easier ones to work with for me! They were generally pretty slow or telegraphed so they were good opportunities to pop an Estus use if needed or if it was the flying charge, rush in for a hit or two after dodging while he recovered. Those and the flame breath attacks were the ones I could really hurt him on.

It was the melee ones that would generally give me trouble. At best I could block one of his melee hits, but generally only the ones that he would chain into combos and if the second hit would land it would punch through and hurt me decently. So I eschewed blocking altogether and went pure 2H and dodge for max damage and I couldn't reliably figure out the right way to dodge some of his attacks. Sometimes it would work, but other times (usually his tail whip/step back thing) my timing would be late and I'd get whacked. Or my roll would either be too early or poorly placed (couldn't quite tell which, maybe both?) and I'd still get hit - and sometimes worse, then hit by the second one.

When I say my impatience was my worst enemy it's because I'd start trying to experiment with dodging those to get more opportunities to attack and... it would end up poorly eventually. >_>
