IIRC the only other time that's happened in these contests was King (who also happened to be the defending champion) and Yoshimitsu, both from the Tekken franchise, meeting in the final of Save That Fighting Game Character 2. So it's pretty rare to have that happen. garan posted... At least CE picks weirder stuff than the site's character battles, where it's always Link, Cloud, Mario,etc. Yeah, it's nice seeing some random-ass oddball/meme character go really far due to having a few passionate fans working hard to save them each round.
