There was that turtle cliff overlook where that elf chick was hiding out, and that elf cave where Lord Withermoor (skeleton dude) was impaled on a wall. There might've been another one, but I forget. It seems that regardless, going through all possible paths will at least give you token exploration XP, so it's not a big deal. Also, that cat survived all the way to the swamp. I thought it was going to secretly be a character I could recruit or something, but all I got was a summon familiar spell.
