Basically a boy gets moved out to a plantation and hates it there and wants to run away. Then the slave they called Uncle Remus started telling him stories about a fictional character named Br'er Rabbit. One of the stories is pretty much about how you should never run away and just stay where you are because it's always for the best. Some bad stuff happens and Remus gets in trouble. The boy almost dies trying to keep Remus from leaving. Remus tells him another story and he magically survives. End with singing off into the sunset. ---
