The law is pretty clear that when you give a gift, you waive any rights to take it back. We know banks are supposed to super-mega-ultra secure as that's why we trust them to hold every penny we earn. Even if we say they didn't know for sure that it was a mistake, they also didn't know that it wasn't and did nothing to address that ignorance, which is effectively the same thing. By that same logic, it's reckless driving to go over 5mph as you don't know a kid won't jump out from behind a car under your wheels. You are not responsible for other people's actions and it's not a crime to spend money in your bank account. You can reasonably assume transactions that have been heavily vetted are legitimate otherwise stores would have to UV check every note they get and never accept cheques. --- Doctor Foxx posted...
