But I don't trust Sony not to shit on the franchise. For all I know their executives will demand the next film has 3 villains in order to sell more toys, and they'll cave in. doesn't marvel have merch rights to Spiderman? Maybe. I know Venom got added into SM3 against the director's wishes because of business reasons, but maybe it wasn't toys.
