It sounds like youre making excuses for a movie you like. Which is fine, I like Rogue One too, but none of the characters are interesting and none of them have arcs. When the droid is more compelling than the human characters, you know theres a problem.

Straw manning is me making a bad and knowingly false characterization of your argument, since you were critical of Rogue one's character development it made seen for me to assume you thought the character development in at least some of the other modern star wars movies.

So you don't think Rogue One has character development. But that's not much of a criticism if you don't think any modern star wars movie does.
