There's an infested chopper boss that I just lost to because I spent 10 minutes just holding down the shoot button on it and thinking there must be something wrong so I went to youtube and yup, that's actually how you beat it, you're supposed to be bored out of your mind holding down the shoot button while tiny bits of his HP chip off.
