Just being honest, not being a dick here. Learning to cook, very basic meals, is extremely easy. Maybe it's an intimidation thing because you aren't familiar with it, but it's a really simple thing to catch on to and a good skill to have. You really should just make an attempt at a simple meal, steam some broccoli and bake chicken, with a generous amount of seasoning. Hell, get a George Foreman grill or an air fryer and you literally just have to put it on, and watch the time.

I can't tell you how much a significant other appreciates someone who will do some cooking also.
