Topic	i don't get why voldemort could never kill harry

It's almost like the bad guy killing an 11-17 year old isn't a great way to end a kids book I've never read the books but it's not like they couldn't, you know, just write a reason why he couldn't kill him in the story. I would imagine that they did, no? His mom sacrificed herself and basically gave him magical protection in doing so. Voldemort hit Harry with a curse but the protection caused it to bounce back and hit him.
