Or he just auto closes all portals that get near him with the Space Stone.

That really doesn't make any sense. That isn't how durability works. It's not a physical doorway closing. It takes magic to keep it open, once the magic is gone the portal is gone. It doesn't matter how physically tough he is.

But yeah the space stone could solve it. But if the gauntlet hand was already cut off he probably couldn't use it anymore.
