The difference is that we don't have to resort to eating other living things like wild animals, we have the option to not be barbaric. Technically, other animals dont have to, either. But they do. And wed lose lots of meat due to possible overhunting and due to some animals just not cut out for the wild... Or not cut out enough, I guess.
