It's all trophy hunting, so you lose points the more damaged the trophy would be (such as exploding the head), and you also have an 'ethics' rating so you rapidly lose points the longer the animal suffers after the initial hit. So, for perfect score - you want a heart penetration (not just a hit, the game uses Kinetic Energy as a value) with the smallest caliber (trophy value) bullet and also being as close to an instant kill as possible. --- "Salt cures Everything!"
