It takes things you watch and finds things that other people view that watch what you do. I think you're conflating two things here. It's true that Youtube's algorithm is agnostic to whether something is far right, far left, etc. But there are a lot more alt-right people whose channels are made up of fifty minute videos where they talk about X,Y, and Z.
