Houses are usually too spacious for only one person. People ask me to buy a house, but I'm single and plan to be single till the day I die, so the only person who would EVER live in the house is me, myself and I. Is there any point to actually buy a house....for one person?

Aside from the financial aspects

-a garage where you can store tools and work on your own cars
-a home gym in your basement
-a back yard where you can grill, grow a garden, raise chickens, etc.
-able to renovate/remodel your house as you see fit
-able to make noises, etc. that would disturb your neighbors in an apartment
