it would make me unreasonable happy if you put up a "I assure you we're open" sign on the fake wall.

XD

I kinda want to do that now. I should suggest it to the owner. Sounds like the boards are gonna be up for a while since he has to go through corporate to get everything fixed. Might as well lean into it to make the best of a bad situation.

Most criminals dont wanna add murder charges fortunately. Makes the sentence harsher but also makes their capture higher priority. Glad you are safe and was smart enough to not do anything risky over someone elses money.

So very true. People keep asking me how scared I was, and I keep telling them I wasn't really scared at all. A bit shocked right when the impact happened, but after that it was more fascinating than scary. It was kind of neat in a weird way watching how practiced the whole thing was. You don't have to respect what they were doing, but you gotta respect how they did it. Fucking professional as hell. No distractions, no delays, nothing unexpected for them. They were damn good at what they do, and I appreciated that. It's when things go sideways that someone gets hurt.

It's like you said, most of these guys really don't want to hurt anybody in the process. It adds extra charges if they get caught, and it also makes them more likely to get caught, neither of which is in their own best interest. They just want to get in, do their job, and get out as quickly and painlessly as possible.

The only scary moment was when the first guy walked in. The moment he pointed at me and didn't have a gun in his hand, I knew I was going to be fine.
