If I had my way I'd do mandatory buy backs of everything that isn't a handgun or a rifle licensed for hunting. Mandatory background checks and training for ANYONE who wants to purchase a gun. Limit the amount of rounds and guns that can be purchased per person. A database of all gun owners and gun related transactions so people who try to amass huge collections of guns can be tracked.
