Jeez, where do they find these introduction and question asking people? They all seem to be kinda terrible.

Whenever any con opens up the audience for questions, it always seems like the most socially-inept, paralyzed by anxiety terror people march up to ask awkward, stilted questions in overly breathy voices, and try to insert their personal stuff into things, sending jolts of cringe down every spine.

It's not just comics or comic movies, I've seen it in a lot of other fandoms as well.

It's part of why I vastly prefer panels where either the people on stage decide what to talk about and basically just talk the entire time, or if they have to take questions, to pre-screen questions in advance and have them read by a single professional host rather than letting the audience ask them.

I understand that fans like to feel engaged and get a thrill from the interaction with their apparent heroes, but it makes it uncomfortable as fuck to watch/listen to as an outsider.
