I thought Duck may have gotten the decision from at least one judge after Lock-Jaw started smoking and lost their primary weapon for a bit, but Lock-Jaw did a lot of damage and was pretty aggressive

I don't think Lock Jaw lost their weapon at all. I think it was consciously powered down for a bit to allow the motors to cool. It seems they didn't reactivate the weapon until there was less than 10 seconds remaining though... That was a minor mistake It should have been reactivated with 20 seconds left, because that's beyond the frame for a countdown should something go wrong.

In the Sawblaze and Blacksmith fight it was a tough decision for the judges. Other than the primary weapon dropping on Sawblaze, there wasn't much in the way of appreciable damage. Meanwhile Blacksmith had chunks taken out of the edges of their chassis. Those triangular armor bits welded on top certainly did their job though, and kept the 'hammer saw' from breaching into the main internal compartment of the bot.

I think Blacksmith suffers from decisions in a way not too removed from that with plagues Duck. Judges' decisions favor offense. It's like the point system in boxing favoring those that throw a lot of weak-ass do-nothing jabs. The jabs get credit for 'aggression' or 'control'.

That main event though... wow! You knew things were bad though once the smoke switched from white, generally a battery fire, to black, internal components cooking and melting.
