It's not healthy for her fiance / husband and their relationship for her to be so possessive of you, and you cutting yourself out of the picture is the right thing to do, regardless if she doesn't like it. Even if the pain of losing a friend hurts for a little while, it will eventually pass. Seems like she is selfish, immature and has control issues and probably just wanted to keep you around as a backup if things didn't go her way with her husband, or even if she just got bored with him.
