OctilIery 07/19/19 9:06:16 PM #52: | Pennywise was never campy in the book. He took on the kids fears, but he made them serious, disgusting, and dangerous. He didn't play jokes, he tormented. And the book was pretty even in tone. The miniseries was not, it was always more comedic and light. It missed the underlying bleakness of the book, the idea that the kids were truly alone in their world and their struggles because the reality of the town had sunk into the adults. ...
