Topic	IT is probably going to go down as the best adaptation of a King novel.

Still a great one however. The shining is a godawful adaptation. Good movie, awful adaptation. I disagree, but welcome to your opinion. I know many consider it a horrendous adaptation, when I still feel it comes across in the same "creepy, slowly going insane" vibe. The problem is in the characters. The Shining is supposed to be about a troubled but caring father slowly succumbing to his demons. In the movie, Jack is just straight asshole from the beginning, there's no real descent. That's fair.
